About Bannockburn Dental

Our practice in Bannockburn opened in 1992. The town has grown rapidly and we have kept pace, welcoming a few excellent dentists over the years. Dr Jason Allsopp joined our team in 2017 and, most recently, we have our second lady dentist, Dr Sapana Patel.

When we moved to our new premises in 2009, our goal was to create a warm, relaxing but modern space for you to enjoy.

Many people refer their friends and family, so we find that nearly half of our clients come from Geelong and beyond.

Our values are best summed up by saying “we treat you as we would like to be treated”.

We believe we demonstrate this by listening and attending to your concerns; by offering choice with no hard sell; and by applying the most up-to-date hygiene and safety routines.

Dr. Stephen Allsopp

Graduating from WA Uni, Stephen worked in the RAAF before working as a dentist in Geelong from 1986, establishing the Bannockburn Practice in 1991.

Stephen’s passion is making Dentistry more friendly and offering excellent healthy, practical solutions. His personality is caring, gentle and he loves to help out.

His other interests are renovating, renovating and renovating!

Dr. Jason Allsopp

Jason grew up in Teesdale, educated in Geelong and studied Dentistry in Bendigo.

He has worked throughout country Victoria for 4 years and joined the family practice in January 2017.

He has a gentle nature and enjoys people, cooking and keeping fit.

Jason brings a great deal of precision and care to his work and his calm manner puts the most nervous person at ease.

Dr. Sapana Patel

Sapana completed her bachelors degree in Dental Surgery in 2011 and has 8 years of experience in general dentistry.

She most recently worked at a practice in tropical North Queensland and enjoyed the glorious sunshine before moving to join us in Bannockburn (which also has the occasional day of glorious sunshine!).

Dentistry is her passion and she likes being able to help people get rid of their pain and overcome their fears while bringing a smile to their faces.

Sapana strives to educate people about the importance of keeping teeth and gums healthy, as they contribute to the overall health.

A staunch believer of “learning never ends”, she regularly attends training courses to upskill.

When not working, Sapana can be found playing table tennis or at a Toastmasters meet.
