Dr. Stephen Allsopp
Dr Stephen obtained his degree in Western Australia but has practiced in Victoria since 1981. He started Bannockburn Dental in 1991 back when the main street was just a few buildings in a friendly rural town, and has found it rewarding to see the practice grow along with the community.
Stephen is very caring, thorough and goes above and beyond for all of his patients. He has a “can do” attitude and is highly experienced with complex dental situations, wisdom teeth removal and has a wealth of knowledge in general dentistry.
Outside of dentistry his interests include kayaking, bushwalking and fixing everything. He also loves spending time with his 7 grandchildren.
Dr. Jason Allsopp
Dr Jason grew up in Teesdale, educated in Geelong and studied Dentistry in Bendigo
Jason has been a central member of our practice since 2017 following the completion of his degree in regional Victoria. Jason brings a great deal of precision and gentle care to his work. He takes the time to get to know his patients and his calm manner puts the most nervous patient at ease.
Jason is passionate about providing high quality comprehensive treatment in all aspects of dentistry, including treating families, high quality restorations, root canal treatment, crowns and wisdom tooth removal. He is particularly interested in utilising the latest technology to provide quality treatments including digital smile design, implants and dental rehabilitations.
Outside of the practice, Jason is enjoying his new role as a dad and spending time with family and friends. Jason loves cooking complicated and unusual recipes (have you ever had sous vide custard?) and loves keeping fit with mountain bike riding and running. He also enjoys snow skiing with his wife Giselle during winter.
Dr. Sapana Patel
Dr Sapana has been a valued member of our team since 2019, having completed her dental degree in 2011. She previously worked in tropical north Queensland before joining us in Bannockburn.
Sapana is passionate about her work and is always expanding her skills with further education. She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, attaining multiple commendations in the rigorous examinations that were a part of the membership process.
Sapana has a keen interest in orthodontics and is undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics (clear aligners).
Patients appreciate Sapana’s bright personality, attention to detail and her desire to educate them about their dental health. Sapana will carefully consider your overall health and strive to deliver the best treatment plan for your needs.
Outside the surgery, Sapana can be found cooking up a storm with her husband, dancing, painting and playing table tennis.
Dr. Adelaide Annand
Dr Adelaide joined our practice from Bendigo in 2022, and is a welcome addition to our amazing team! Adelaide’s passion for dentistry grew from her orthodontist who spent the time to encourage her in this journey.
Adelaide’s gentle and caring nature means that she is great with children and adults alike, ensuring that she provides every patient with a positive experience. She takes pride in her work and is committed to listening to her patients, understanding exactly what they need and providing a calming experience.
Outside of work Adelaide is an avid netballer, experienced tennis player and a North Melbourne footy fanatic (but we don’t hold that against her). She also enjoys growing sunflowers and strawberries, and socializing with friends.
Dr. Frazer Gatens
Bannockburn dental welcomed Dr Frazer to the team in 2023 after working rurally in both Victoria and NSW over the past three years. Frazer completed his Masters in Dentistry from Griffith University..
Frazer prides himself on providing high quality dental care to patients of all ages. He comes to us with experience in a broad range of complex dental treatment, including oral surgery, wisdom teeth removal, endodontic therapy and sleep medicine.
Patients appreciate his warm, approachable personality and gentle technique to match. Frazer is also passionate about providing a fun and caring experience for children of all ages.
Outside of work, Frazer has always been involved in AFL, playing in the ruck for several rural teams in Victoria and NSW. He is excited to be moving to a coastal area where he loves freediving and fishing.
